All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad. - Psalms 45:8.

Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered? Jer.8:22. Go up into Gilead, and take balm, O virgin, the daughter of Egypt: in vain shall thou use many medicines; for thou shalt not be cured. - Jer. 46:11.


And Isaiah said, Take a lump of figs. And they took it and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.- 2 Kings 20:7

Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the briar shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the Lord for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off. -Isa. 55:13.

When the lord appeared to Solomon in a dreamland told him to ask whatever he desired, Solomon requested an understanding heart. This greatly pleased the Lord and He replied: Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee. -I Ki. 3:12
