Episode: Mothers & Sisters. 05.26.15

Welcome to an episode of Fallon Leigh O'Briens Toast. An intimate piece on Mothers, Sisters, Families. You. Us. Them. Proper nourishment, attention to strength, health, good life through healthy shelter and family bond. I, Fallon Leigh O'Brien, You, Whitney Angelica O'Brien, Us, Sheena Marie O'Brien and Janet Lee Gately, are here to help amplify your voice. Fallons Daily Toast + + + RED TILT + + + MoonDreamTea + + + will settle in to your neighborhoods and help you sort through your Rights. DON'T TAKE MY CHILD, a campaign to watch for. 'F.L.O'~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Child Protective Services, in many states of the US, perceives its obligation as being to find children who are in distress and emancipate them from their families. This is a school of thought which deems the destruction of a family unit as being a small price to pay to protect a child. A philosophy must be created to progress beyond this 'collateral damage' view of child protection. The epidemic of child abuse and neglect should be fought by building strong family units not by dissolving them. A new school of thought must be built to reflect this modern view of epidemiology."~Asher Salomon

Episode: Studio 42 Re-mix/construction.

Lots of changes happening at Studio 42. Carl Gifford, Andrea D'Alton, Sheena Marie and I are building basic, underlying framework features of our Studio 42 system for more organization. Calling it infrastructure today, may call it something different tomorrow. What ever IT is, IT is fun work. Strong infrastructure in any system is important and can be re-evaluated through out the course of its life-span. Re-evaluate the infrastructure in your world, make sure it supports your community. *You see a piece of art I want to pay more attention to, but can not just yet, as I am enjoying the Toasts and nurturing of communities. You see empty walls waiting patiently for structure. Structures in place to bring smiles to your face. Serious smiles. *Appearance by Jerry Jam Jam Cat.~ Find him this year at Jerry Jam festival. He'll be interviewing some of the smelliest acts broiling in the east coast stove.Ott.Michael GreenGreenbean Production

Find out more at, Pathways Togo (Winter’s Adventure!)www.pathwaystogo.orgwww.gofundme.com/pedalforpathwaysWinter is biking from Lubec, ME to Seattle (over 5,000 miles); she learned about Pathways Togo organization from her two years in Togo as Peace Corps volunteer (she was an environmental volunteer). She lived there from July 2012-Aug 2014. She was inspired to do the trip because after she returned from her travels abroad in the Peace Corps (and other various study abroad trips) she realized she knew very little about her own country and what it had to offer. hence the intimate and lengthy bicycle trip. She decided to make the trip have more of a cause attached to it so fundraising for Pathways Togo instantly came to mind because it’s such an incredible program for girls with such few resources.Emily Herzig Floral Design

Intimate Episode. 05.11.15

Dear good morning, Last nights Art Share at Zuzus in Cambridge was exciting. Made decision to take red line train trip from Haymarket late night to see a bunch of heartfelt spectacular faces, and get a bunch of # 1 hugs. Hanz Landes, Mike Shick, Severo Covian, Giovani Hoyos-Corrales. Randomly met Kenny Elliot of Elliot Farm in Lakeville MA last night. (http://www.elliotfarm.org). I'm going to spend 5 days in June on the farm with he and his family. Working fields with equipment from the 50's. Farming is not easy. It takes a great deal of hard hard work to produce good food for your family and for your community. To call yourself a farmer is easy. To be one, not so easy. I have farmed at times in my life, but not in the dedicated way most farmers farm. I wouldn't call myself a farmer, more a dib dabbler. Hope to some day have a little farm that can support our family. I admire so much the lessons you learn from the land and the people whom know it. So yes, Fallons Daily Toast will be on Elliot Farm, Lakeville MA for five days to work the fields with hard-working farmers that work everyday during the summer months. I'd like to supply the performers at our looping event (inspired by Matthew Silver and Fritz Donnelly) with fresh veggies and fresh smiles. https://www.facebook.com/groups/516859065119926/ Enjoy this episode. It was inspired by all of you, especially my mother and my sisters. Thanks again to The Hornitz and all the talented musicians for a great show at Church three eves ago. Get out and see them if you can. I promise you'll be grateful you did. I'm on a bus traveling north to the mountains of NH for seven days to see a dozens of spectacular faces & glows. Taking care to nurture community and connection is so important to us.We have suggestions about systems in place regarding the opiate crisis murdering 4 to 6 people a day. We have suggestions about child and family services infrastructure around the country. All suggestions come from a place so personal and real. It is all from a place of love and care. Been caught up in a cyclone and made to fear, but alas, fear dissipates like the morning dew because of the love we have for you. It all involves more art and music and we'll keep you posted with the progress. Thanks Ben Salomon for the opening music. Check him out at http://bensalomonmusic.com/ With lots of gratitude, FallonollaF
